Earth is grounding energy that is enveloping and nurturing. The related organs are the spleen and stomach. Its season is the time of harvest between late summer and fall.



Metal is the energy of perfection connected to receiving inspiration and letting go of what is no longer needed. Metal rules the lung and large intestine, and its season is fall.



Water is the deep energy of resources and wisdom. Winter is the season of quietude and rest, the foundational time necessary before the cycle begins anew. It is related to the kidneys and bladder.
